LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES COMBINE EFFORTS
TO MAKE ARRESTS IN CRIMINAL ENTERPRISES

   Several police agencies were conducting individual criminal investigations into home invasions and other criminal activity in the greater Hartford area. All involved investigatory agencies recently met and joined forces to share information and to further many of these ongoing criminal cases.

   A lengthy criminal investigation was undertaken by these investigators. There were many man hours of surveillance and witness interviews that took place. As a result of the gathering of this investigative information and physical evidence in this investigation, several search & seizure warrants and arrest warrant applications were submitted to Superior Court.  The court issued the search & seizure and arrest warrants in these cases.   

   The State Police Bureau of Organized Crime, Office of the Chief State’s Attorney and the local law enforcement agencies today, 09/14/07, formulated teams and executed search and seizure warrants at 120 Rachael Drive Manchester, 52 John Olds drive Manchester, 169 Babcock St Hartford, and 130 Ellington, Hartford.  In addition, arrest warrants were executed on various members and associates of an organized criminal enterprise in various locations in the Hartford area.

   The criminal enterprise involved home invasions in the greater Hartford area. During the investigation, investigators uncovered information that determined that people in this enterprise were involved in dealing in the sale of narcotics, auto theft (changing VINs), counterfeiting of US currency and other crimes. 

   Police Agencies participating in this investigation included: The Office of the Chief State’s Attorney, The Connecticut State Police Organized Crime Unit,  Hartford Police, Manchester Police, South Windsor Police, Vernon Police, East Hartford Police, West Hartford Police, New Haven Police, Milford Police, New Britain Police, Bloomfield Police and Cromwell Police. 

     The following people were taken into custody during the raids conducted early this morning:
