HADDAM STORE ROBBERY INVESTIGATED

   On Tuesday, 04/17/07, at approximately 7:30 pm, Troop F in Westbrook received a 911 call from the Country Market, located at 315 Saybrook Road in Haddam, stating that two white males dressed in black clothing entered the store after it closed and demanded money. One of the store employees was able to make the 911 call during the attempted robbery from an office located in the rear of the store. The two males subsequently fled from the store and were seen leaving the area in a small car with Connecticut plates. The vehicle was last observed traveling south on Route 81 toward Route 9.  No one was injured during the course of this incident and no money was taken.

   During the course of this investigation, investigators were able to develop several leads and it is anticipated that several arrests will be made.
