                                                      ADDITIONAL ARREST (3rd) IN

                                             CRIM. ATTEMPT/MURDER ENFIELD

                                   

                                   Today 2/5/07 The Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime Squad continued the investigative assist to the Massachusetts State Police.
Connecticut State Troopers have continued the investigation into the stabbing that took place on I-91 near the Connecticut border on 1/29/07.  Connecticut Troopers provided investigative leads that allow Mass State Police to obtain an arrest warrant for the third accused in this case.

                                           

            At approximately 4:45 p.m. Connecticut State Police apprehended a third suspect

            in relation to the stabbing that had taken place in Massachusetts on I-91 near the

           CT State line in Enfield on 01/29/07.  The suspect is identified as: KERNAN,

           SCOTT  DOB: 01/23/71 of 50 East Hill Road Apt. 1E Canton, CT.  He was

           charged in CT as a Fugitive From Justice.  He is being held on a $750,000.00 bond

           with a court date of 02/06/07 in Hartford Superior Court.

                                  

           MASS State Police  hold a warrant for Accessory After the fact, To Wit, Armed

           Assault with Intent to Murder.  Accused KERNAN was arrested at his place of

           employment in Canton, CT without incident.  

    

           The Investigation is continuing.
