On 08/31/06, just after 2 p.m., the Connecticut State Police at Troop B recieved a 911 call reporting a suspicious incident, possibly an attempted abduction of a 15 year old female. Reported to investigators was that the 15 year old girl was walking Rt. 112 in Salisbury in the area of Rt. 41 when the operator (lone occupant) of a light blue/turquois colored mini van  passed the female, turned around and pulled up along side her. The operator asked the female to get in the van. The female fled on foot as she used her cell phone to call 911 at which time the operator drove away, westbound on Rt. 112.

The operator was described as a light skined black male, mid 20's, slender to medium build, wearing a blue and white horizontal stripe polo shirt. He was described as having a slight accent. A composite sketch of the suspect is below.
