Connecticut Announces FirstNet/AT&T Wireless Contract

Announcement

The State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS) has amended State Contract #13PSX0339 to include a product schedule for FirstNet/AT&T Wireless Services.  This State contract is available for use by all state agencies and local political sub-divisions within the State of Connecticut.

FirstNet is a partnership between the Federal Government and AT&T establishing a Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Wireless Network which meets increased resiliency and security standards.

This network also provides users with priority/pre-emption allowing access when the network is congested due to major events/incidents.  

Primary users of the network are First Responders (Fire-Law Enforcement- Emergency Medical Services-Emergency Management).  Extended users are those entities which support emergency response efforts including PSAPs/Telecommunications Centers.
