Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP)

Overview

 

The Homeland Security Grant Program is a yearly federal grant program used to support state and regional preparedness activities for the prevention of terrorism

and other catastrophic events. The Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP) serves as the State Administrative Agent (SAA) and is the State’s eligible applicant for HSGP funds.

Annual allocations are determined in coordination with the Homeland Security Working Group, a subcommittee of the Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (DEMHS) Advisory Council.   Sub-grantees include the Regional Emergency Planning Teams (REPT) located in each DEMHS Region.  The Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP) serves as the State Administrative Agent (SAA) and is the State’s eligible applicant for HSGP funds.
