Region 4 - Colchester

DEMHS Region 4 encompasses the eastern portion of the state including municipalities located in Tolland, Windham and New London Counties. This region borders Massachusetts to the North, Rhode Island to the East and Long Island Sound to the south. The regions consists of forty-two (42) municipalities and two (2) tribal nations. The total population of DEMHS Region 4 as of 2017 DPH estimates is 453,921 and the total land area of all municipalities within this region 1,264 sq. miles. Each DEMHS Region has a Regional Emergency Planning Team (REPT). The Region 4 REPT is the coordinating committee for all regional activities.
