Homeland Security Working Group

Overview

The Homeland Security Working Group is a multi-jurisdictional stakeholder committee. The Homeland Security Working Group assists DEMHS in evaluating current capabilities and developing/revising the goals, objectives and implementation steps of the strategy to meet any gaps in capabilities. The federally required, Statewide Homeland Security Strategy is developed in collaboration with with this working group. the group meets annually and as needed.

The first statewide strategy was developed in 2005 and updated in 2007.
