Field Trip Sites

The following locations offer a variety of interesting school programs:

• Kellogg Environmental Center, Derby

• Goodwin Conservation Center, Hampton

• Fort Trumbull State Park, New London

• Dinosaur State Park, Rocky Hill

• Osborne Homestead Museum, Derby

• Meigs Point at Hammonasset Beach State Park, Madison 

• State Parks & Forests 
  Teachers might wish to bring their students to a State Park or State Forest on a field trip that they design. Groups wishing to visit by bus must secure a bus permit at least fourteen days prior to the visit.  Schools and qualifying youth organizations can camp at State Parks that have youth group camping facilities.  See Youth Group Camping for more information.
