Managing Docks and Piers Workshop Materials

The Office of Long Island Sound Programs (now the Land and Water Resources Division) held a workshop on Managing Docks and Piers on May 22, 2007, at DEEP's Marine Headquarters in Old Lyme. The workshop was attended by a variety of municipal officials, consultants, attorneys, and environmental advocates interested in dock management issues. The workshop explored environmental, aesthetic, navigational, and public trust issues arising from the proliferation of new docks in coastal areas and the chronically polemic dock permitting process.
