Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) Standards: The NHTSA recently strengthened fuel economy standards for cars and light trucks sold in the U.S. These more stringent rules will reduce fuel consumption - lowering U.S. dependence on fossil fuel and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector.
