Medical Marijuana Dispensary Facility Backer
Purpose:
This registration is for any person with a direct or indirect financial interest in a dispensary facility, except it shall not include a person with an investment interest in a dispensary facility provided the interest is held by such person and such person's co-workers, employees, spouse, parent or child, in the aggregate, do not exceed five percent of the total ownership or interest rights in such dispensary facility and such person does not participate directly or indirectly in the control management or operation of the dispensary facility.

You must be named as a backer by a Connecticut licensed Medical Marijuana Dispensary Facility.

The dispensary facility owner must provide this office with documentation confirming your affiliation with the facility.

The Department may request additional information, as necessary.
Online Application:
To access the online system, please visit https://www.elicense.ct.gov/. Click “Register” in the top left corner of the screen to create an account, and validate an active email address. To access the online application, click “Initial Application” under Activities.
Application Fee:
All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Annual Renewal Fee- $100
Renewal:
- All dispensary facility backer registrations expire annually one year from the initial date of issuance.
- Each dispensary facility backer is required to submit a renewal application and fee to the department at least 45 days prior to the date the existing registration expires.
- If a renewal application is not filed prior to the registration’s expiration date, the registration will become void until the renewal application is approved.
- If a renewal application is not submitted within thirty calendar days of the registration’s expiration date, the applicant will be required to submit a new application.
