Locksmith Registration

"Locksmithing" is the inspection, installation, recombination, rekeying services or repair of locks or locking devices.

Prerequisites:

The following documentation must be attached and submitted with a completed application. Do not submit the application until you are able to provide these record checks.

A Criminal History Record report from the State of Connecticut, State Police Bureau of Identification, 1111 Country Club Rd., Middletown, CT 06457. The form is available at https://portal.ct.gov/despp.
A Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Identification Record/Criminal Background Check.

Application Fee:

$200.00. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Renewal:

All Locksmith registrations expire biennially on December 31^st of every even-numbered year. Renewal fee: $200.00
