Gasoline

The Department of Consumer Protection has regulatory authority in the areas of gasoline, motor fuel testing and retail gasoline stations through its Foods and Standards Division

For questions pertaining to accuracy of gasoline pumps, octane ratings, or contaminants in gasoline, call the Department at (860) 713-6160 or email dcp.foodandstandards@ct.gov     

If you suspect that you are paying an excessive price for gasoline or diesel, please call the Gasoline Complaint Hotline at 1-800-842-2649.
