  • Low Deposit, Low Return: Recommendations to decrease solid waste by capturing redeemables that are now lost to the waste stream. (October 30, 2020, PDF)
     
  • Fuel for Thought: Recommendations to reduce the incidence and severity of accidental releases (spills and leaks) of home heating oil (December 16, 2019, PDF)
  • The Council reviewed the report, Environmental Study: Change in Use of New Britain Water Company Land (Proposed Quarry Expansion and Future Water Storage Reservoir), pursuant to Public Act 16-61 . It submitted its comments on the report to the City of New Britain in May of 2018, and its recommendation regarding the proposal to the Water Planning Council in August for forwarding to the legislature's Committees on Environment and on Public Health. On August 22, 2018 The City of New Britain announced it will not be moving forward with the proposal. Comments from the public were very useful to the Council in drafting its comments.
